US Personal Hygiene
The beauty and personal care market is huge ($478B globally) . What is the consumer demanding?
A (Dermatologist): Less is more. Over-cleansing destroys the skin barrier. I see more patients with contact dermatitis from "antibacterial" soaps and heavy fragrances. We need simpler, pH-balanced formulations.
B (Product Developer): The trend is "skinification" of everything—even deodorant and body wash now contain hyaluronic acid and niacinamide. Also, "clean" labeling (paraben-free, sulfate-free) is no longer a premium; it's an expectation .
C (Sustainability Officer): The big battle is packaging. Refillable deodorants and shampoo bars are growing, but the supply chain is messy. Consumers want zero waste, but they aren't willing to pay 20% more for it.
D (Consumer): Honestly, I'm overwhelmed. There are 50 different "clinical protection" deodorants. I just want something that works during a workout and doesn't have aluminum that stains my shirts. Efficacy still trumps trends.
