I've been putting off listing this painting because I love it. But needs must soo here he is, please meet Harris a handsome and well dressed wire hair dachshund I have been following for years on Instagram. His lovely mum kindly gave me permission to paint him and I've taken full advantage. 
I painted him during a bunny ear phase I was going through and I just love how the bright colours pop against the grey background making it such a fun piece. 
This is a large artwork on a gessoed W24 x H36 inch stretched canvas, he has been painted with acrylic and emulsion paints and sealed with satin varnish. I love the looseness and play between the opaque and translucent layers which help to create interest and a slight luminosity.
He would make a fabulous statement piece in any modern home and his cute little face is almost guarnteed to make you smile evey day. Harris's New Hat is unframed and ready to hang.
